If you choose to work with Switchfoot Wealth then we will need to collect sufficient of information about you to ensure that our recommendations are in YOUR best interest.  We’ve worked hard to make the process as easy as possible and (with your permission) we will collaborate with New South Law Limited to avoid duplicating work where possible.  The typical advice journey you can expect will be as follows:

Order a Free Triage Report

Complete our short questionnaire with some basic details and we will send you by email your free, no obligation, Triage Report within just 15 minutes.  If you wish, New South Law will be able to complete this step on your behalf.   Along with the Triage Report, you will also receive an ‘Initial Disclosure Document’ which details our service and advice fees.

Instruct Us

If you wish to proceed with an initial meeting, you will need to digitally sign the ‘Initial Disclosure Document’ along with an ‘Information-only’ letter of authority in respect of your pensions and investments.  This will allow us to write to your product providers for information.

Pre-meeting questionnaire

Ahead of your free, no obligation initial meeting, we will send you a questionnaire for you to complete with as much information as possible.  This information helps us ensure that our advice is in your best interest and it is a regulatory requirement that we know our clients.  If there are any questions you are unsure of, you can leave them blank and your adviser will explain more in the meeting.

You can expect questions about: your income and expenditure, savings, investments, property and pensions. We’ll also ask you about any loans, mortgages, credit cards or other debts and insurance products and life cover.  It will also be useful for us to know about any specific plans you have already made for the future. 

Initial Meeting

You can book an initial meeting with an independent financial adviser at a time of your choosing directly from the link we send you.  We can meet by online video conference (Zoom or similar), by phone, or if you are local to us you can visit our office.

The initial meeting is free with no obligation to proceed.  Our meeting will cover the following:

  • Our service and charges
  • Complete ‘fact find’ questionnaire so we have all the information we need to help you
  • Assess your attitude to risk and capacity for loss
  • Discuss your financial plan
  • Understand your options
  • answer any questions you may have

Written Quote

We are committed to transparent and fair charges.  Following our initial meeting we will send you a written quote detailing any advice fees that would be payable if you choose to progress further with us.  You can pay our fees directly or from your financial products.  If at this stage you do not wish to work with us you are free to leave with no pressure and no cost or obligation.

If you accept our recommendations we will action them straight away  and bring your financial plan to life.

We will agree what level of ongoing service you require from us (if any) and make sure we keep in regular contact with you so that you are confident in your products and in our support.

research & recommendations

When you accept our quote we will begin our research and prepare our recommendations to you.  We will advise only what is in your best interests.  Once we have prepared our recommendations we will send them to you ahead of a second meeting to discuss them in detail.  You will receive a comprehensive suitability report which will explain the pros and cons of any recommended actions.
